The Mutt Strut Presents: The Mighty Mutts Dog Show!
Sunday, May 18 from 9:00am - 1:00pm | Riverfront Park, North Shore
This annual favorite is REALLY going to the dogs, with exciting new revisions for 2008! If you're proud of your pup, don't miss the Mutt Strut, which kicks off with a 9:00am Pooch Promenade with lead walker Brett Kiesel from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Stay for Mighty Mutts at 10am--the dog show for the everydog! Westminster's got nothing on us--all breeds, pure and mixed will strut their stuff for a panel of judges, including KDKA's Dave Crawley. Watch this space for your chance to register for the 1.5 mile Puppy Promenade, the first annual Mighty Mutts Dog Show, which includes categories for "Best Kisser," "Mutt-liest Mutt," and "Fastest Eater." The event will also feature pet photos, shopping for people and their pets, and of course, some of Animal Friends' adoptable residents looking for homes. The cost is $15 to walk and $5 to enter the dog show.

For more details and to register for this event go to Animal Friends website at,

Hope to see you there!

Turns out Toby, a Corgi I'm sitting, will be there with us in the morn. We'll be there with Toby, Heidi and Tickle for some doggie fun!

This sounds like so much fun, and what a great cause! I can't wait to see all of the furballs strutting their stuff. I am 89% sure I can make it.

It was a very fun event. I wore blue, but couldn't find anyone from our group. Maybe next event we could do something to distinquish our group people so that we can meet-up. We had a good time though, Zoe had to take a nap when we got her home. My husband even said he would do it again.

Despite an ugly, rainy day, we all had a great day!

Although it rained in the morning, the rain stopped literally at 9... as my friend said -- the true dog lovers will all come out, and so true that was. I expected to see a lot less, but NOPE hundreds turned out, dogs and ponchos in tow! It turned out to be great -- a little muddy, but nonetheless, such a fun event! And to top it off, the sun came out and dried up everything during the event, leaving us time to walk the dogs offleash down at the pier after the event. We had a blast!
